THE STORY

God continues to bless Brown City Camp. After recognizing we were maxing out our facilities during the ten days of family camp, the camp board, led by Rev. Brent Kreisch, caught a vision for the next season of ministry at our beloved camp.

The vision is simple: if we are running out of room during family camp, and we believe Brown City Camp is a place where people encounter God, then we need to equip Brown City Camp to be used for as many of the 365 days of the year as we can.

The Camp Board identified four projects:

1.THE OASIS: removing the old buildings that were falling apart and replacing them with The Oasis which now stands in their place.

2.THE DORMS: remodeling the dorms on the youth compound so they could be better utilized through more of the year.

3.THE RED BRICK BATHROOM: while we all love it, she has seen better days. Foundation issues, major cracks, and ADA compliance issues are a few reasons it will be torn down and replaced.

4.THE HOOP BARN: intended to be a temporary structure, the hoop barn will be replaced by a large indoor gym facility. Each new or remodeled structure will be usable through more of Michigan’s seasons!
